Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) said that Congress is worried about Iran sticking to the deal to halt the country’s nuclear program.
“We are very concerned as to whether Iran will live up to even these commitments,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.”
Cardin said he and other members of Congress are worried that Iran could circumvent the deal. He added that if Iran violates any terms of the agreement, Congress will push for increased sanctions.
“We will not only insist that sanctions be reapplied, but we will have stronger sanctions against Iran,” Cardin said.
