New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Sunday attributed his re-election victory last week to “getting things done.”
Christie said that his willingness to work with Democrats in the legislature to enact legislation made him incredibly electable.
“You can govern with the principles that I have… We did all this in a bipartisan way,” Christie said on Fox News Sunday of his ability to work his agenda through a liberal legislature. “I’ll work with anyone and everyone that is willing to work with me.”
Christie said that this strategy not only works in New Jersey, but would work nationally too.
“That’s what people in New Jersey want,” Christie said. “And that’s what people across the country want as well.”
Christie won re-election in New Jersey by a wide margin on Tuesday, earning over 60 percent of the vote.
