Colin Lowrey, 22, told police in Nevada that he accidentally shot and killed a woman in his home on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
Lowrey was playing with a semi-automatic handgun that he did not think was loaded when he accidentially shot the woman in the head.
Prosecutors have not yet decided whether to charge Lowrey with murder or manslaughter.
