Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA), up for re-election in 2014 and considered vulnerable, said in a statement Tuesday that she supported President Obama’s decision to seek congressional approval for military action in Syria, but did not say how she would vote on a resolution approving such action.
“Using military force in Syria is a serious matter, and the President is correct to seek Congressional approval,” Landrieu said. “I will carefully examine the facts in the coming days as Congress debates what the appropriate action is.”
