On Tuesday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” correspondent Al Madrigal caught up with former MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan, whose transition from cable news to organic farming stunned many observers when it was revealed earlier this year.
Ratigan told Madrigal that working on a hydroponic farm in southern California that employs veterans is more fulfilling than “participating in a hollow political debate.”
“Why sit around arguing with people in a circle when we could actually be building greenhouses creating jobs,” Ratigan said, before being cut off by Madrigal, who spent the duration of the segment attempting to bring the world of punditry to the bucolic setting.
