Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) on Tuesday said she had a second phone conversation with President Barack Obama after a deadly tornado ravaged her state.
Fallin said that Obama emphasized that FEMA will provide any resources needed in the recovery, while also offering to help the state avoid any bureaucratic frustrations that might arise in the relief effort.
“I also had a second phone call a few moments ago from president obama once again reiterating that FEMA is here to help bring any resources to bear, to help us with any type of red tape that we might run across and several other cabinet secretaries called also to express their thoughts and prayers and offer assistance,” Fallin said at a press briefing. “We appreciate all that FEMA is doing.”
