Gawker’s ‘Fox Mole’ Will Plead Guilty To Misdemeanor Charges

The man who became known as the “Fox Mole” for his dispatches from inside the conservative cable news network published last year on Gawker will plead guilty on Thursday to misdemeanor attempted theft and attempted computer tampering charges, according to Gawker

Joe Muto, who served as a producer at Fox News Channel before being fired, will plead guilty in a Manhattan criminal court.

Muto’s writings for Gawker included off-air footage of former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney discussing dressage horses with Fox News host Sean Hannity. His book, titled “An Atheist in the FOXhole,” will be released next month.
