In a complaint unsealed in federal court in Boston on Wednesday, Robel Phillipos, of Cambridge, Mass., was charged with making false statements in a terrorism investigation. An affidavit in support of the charges calls Phillipos a friend of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.
In a separate complaint unsealed Wednesday, Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, two other friends of Tsarnaev’s, were accused of conspiracy to obstruct justice for knowingly “destroying, concealing, and covering up objects” belonging to Tsarnaev.
