Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told a group of protestors in his office upset with the pace of his bipartisan group’s work on immigration reform that their bill would be out by the end of March, according to Univision’s Fernando Pizarro.
The Democratic chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), complained earlier this week that delays from Schumer and his colleagues in crafting a bill meant that his commitee would not be able to mark it up until May at the earliest.
