The Los Angeles Police Department will continue about a dozen protective details for persons threatened by ex-cop Christopher Dorner until further confirmation that the body found in the burned cabin in the San Bernardino mountains is Dorner, LAPD spokesman Andy Neiman said at a press conference Wednesday.

All other operations for the LAPD have returned to normal and are no longer on tactical alert. The department stressed that they are continuing to investigate three murders in which Dorner was the suspect.
