As she heads to Capitol Hill to testify on the security failures that led to the deadly attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s popularity has reached a new high, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday.
Sixty-seven percent of Americans have a favorable view of Clinton, a bump of only a single point since last month but a new high-water mark for the one-time presidential hopeful in the ABC/WaPo poll. The poll showed slightly more than a quarter of Americans — 26 percent — have an unfavorable opinion of Clinton.
Clinton on Wednesday will testify on the Benghazi attack before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
