Three officers were killed Monday during a Taliban-led raid at traffic police headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan, the Associated Press reported. Five insurgents were killed in the attack, which started with a car bomb and triggered hours of fighting.

Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi says the battle ended more than nine hours after it began early Monday with a car bomb attack against the front gate of the building. He says four traffic policemen have also been wounded in the fighting.
