A survey released Tuesday from the preferred pollster of Republicans indicated that a large majority of the party’s rank-and-file has a low opinion of the Congressional GOP.
The poll from right-leaning Rasmussen showed that 63 percent of Republican voters believe the party’s members on Capitol Hill have lost touch with their base over the last several years.
Perhaps symbolic of the contrasting fortunes between the two parties right now, 63 percent of Democratic voters said their Congressional members have successfully upheld the party’s values.
