Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Friday called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s proposal to vote on a House-approved bill to avert the fiscal cliff “laughable.” The House bill would extend current tax rates for everyone for one year. Reid said McConnell is “struggling” to find a way to blame Democrats for not yet striking a deal with Republicans.
