The conservative group Club For Growth on Monday urged all senators to vote against a $60 billion spending package directed at Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts.
“When a natural disaster occurs, there is a textbook response by Congress – they cobble together an overpriced bill that isn’t paid for, there’s no accountability or oversight, and it’s filled with pork,” read a statement on the group’s website. “This proposal is no different.”
The Club indicated that the vote will be included in their 2012 congressional scorecard.
