Amazon on Thursday announced it had launched a new free Amazon Instant Video app for the iPhone and iPod touch, available for download in Apple’s App Store. The app allows people already subscribed to Amazon Prime, the company’s free two-day shipping and unlimited free streaming video plan ($79 a year), to watch any of the 140,000 streaming movie, TV and video titles available in Amazon’s Instant Video store online, as well as selected titles from the Prime members only selection.
