Holding a press conference for the first time since his re-election, President Obama on Wednesday said that expects Congress to take up comprehensive immigration reform bill “very soon” after his inauguration in January.

“We need to seize the moment,” Obama told reporters at the White House.

Asked about what kind of policy that would entail, Obama said he supports a path to “legal status” for the millions of undocumented immigrants living in the country.
