Elections officials in Arizona are still working to count about 324,362 early and provisional ballots, Secretary of State Ken Bennett said Tuesday afternoon. The statewide total includes 146,843 uncounted early ballots and 177,519 unverified provisional ballots.
The updated number indicates that elections officials processed 18,574 ballots between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon. A majority of the uncounted ballots remain in Maricopa County, where about 93,000 early ballots and 122,000 provisional ballots still need to be processed.
