The National Republican Senatorial Committee has placed an ad buy in Arizona for GOP Senate hopeful Jeff Flake, reports Politico. The buy is in the Phoenix media market and will run through Oct. 11.
The buy comes after Democrats also placed an ad buy in Arizona and shows that a race that was initially considered a lock for Republicans is now very close. The TPM PollTracker Average shows Democrat Richard Carmona leading Flake for the first time, 43.3 percent to 43 percent.
