Kevin Madden, a top Romney campaign adviser, said that Mitt Romney’s position on Todd Akin has not changed, in an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday. Other Republicans like Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) and former Missouri Gov. Kit Bond have come around to endorsing Akin.

“I can’t speak for Gov. Bond and Sen. Blunt, but Gov. Romney has made his position very clear on that and it has not changed,” Madden said.

Romney called on Akin to drop out of the Missouri Senate race after his “legitimate rape” comments in August.
