Report: Twitter To Make Almost 2x As Much From Mobile Ads As Facebook

Twitter will make $129.7 million from selling mobile ads on its website and apps this year, while Facebook only looks to bank about half as much, $72.7 million in the U.S., according to a new report from third-party research firm eMarketer. But Facebook’s mobile ad business looks to out-earn Twitter measurably over the next two years, according to the report. 

Twitter has lately been criticized for putting more emphasis on ads while cutting off third-party developers who built apps around Twitter in its early years.
