Obama campaign spokesperson Jen Psaki said Tuesday that the campaign has “absolute confidence” in the speech Bill Clinton will give Wednesday night in Charlotte, according to a White House pool report.
“We have absolute confidence about what he’s going to say,” Psaki said during a press gaggle on Air Force One. “We think: Who better to deliver a speech about the choice middle-class families in this country are facing, the difference between the vision President Obama is presenting to the American people and the vision Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are presenting? He is someone who can speak directly from experience.”
There have been questions about whether Clinton’s speech will be vetted by the campaign, and Psaki seemed to indicate the Obama camp has not seen the speech.
