Ryan: I’d Be Treated Worse If I Made ‘Chains’ Gaffe

In an interview with the Tribune-Review on Friday, Mitt Romney’s vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan said that he doesn’t fear making gaffes, but that he would have been treated much worse if he made a similar gaffe as Joe Biden.

Vice President Joe Biden was widely criticized by the Romney campaign this week after he told a North Carolina crowd that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and the GOP would “put y’all back in chains.” Biden and later Obama defended his remarks, saying they were taken out of context as he was referring to Wall Street.
