Jack Lew, President Obama’s chief of staff, will address the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York Monday, reports Politico. Though the event has been in the works for a while, his address comes while Mitt Romney is wrapping up his visit to Israel and Republicans in the U.S. are attacking Obama as weak on his support of Israel. An Orthodox Jew, Lew is the highest-ranking Jew in the Obama administration.
Lew is set to meet with a number of “Jewish leaders from across the religious spectrum,” according to Politico.
