Pennsylvania Voter ID Law ‘Rational,’ State Official Argues

Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Patrick Cawley claimed during opening arguments in a trial on Pennsylvania’s voter ID law that any voter who wants to cast a ballot will have the photo ID they need to do so by November, the Associated Press reports.

“In this day and age, nothing could be more rational than requiring a photo ID when voters come to the polls,” Cawley said, despite the fact that Pennsylvania officials have admitted they have no evidence of in-person voter fraud.
