The BBC reports that Libya is slated to release four International Criminal Court staffers who had been held since June 7 following a meeting with the son of former president Muammar Qaddafi. The release is set to coincide with a visit to Libya by ICC President Sang-hyun Song.
One of the staffers held, Melinda Taylor, is an Australian lawyer accused of carrying a pen camera to the meeting with Saif al-Islam and attempting to pass him a coded letter from a former ally. The ICC says it is prepared to offer an apology for the team’s actions.
