George Zimmerman in 2011 criticized the Sanford, Florida, police force after a 12-hour ride along with an officer, according to documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel. Zimmerman reportedly called the police force “lazy” and said what he saw was “disgusting.”

“The officer showed me his favorite hiding spots for taking naps,” Zimmerman reportedly said.

Zimmerman is the Sanford, Florida, neighborhood watch supervisor charged with second-degree murder in the death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
