Since becoming the presumptive Republican nominee, Mitt Romney hasn’t run any ads, allowing his super PAC and other conservative outside groups to run ads attacking President Obama. But starting Friday, the Romney campaign will begin to air its first ads of the general election, reports First Read.
The campaign has bought air time on broadcast TV in Davenport and Des Moines in Iowa, Cincinnati and Cleveland in Ohio and Norfolk, Richmond and Roanoke in Virginia.
The initial ad buys are for Friday through Tuesday. There’s no word yet on the content of the ad, but Romney did tell Townhall Thursday that they would be “positive.”
