The Club for Growth has a new ad up in Indiana attacking incumbent Sen. Richard Lugar for “joining the liberals” and tying Lugar to President Obama.
“What’s happened to Dick Lugar?” the narrator asks. “He was a respected national leader; a statesman. Then, he became part of the problem, joining the liberals in voting for record debt, bailouts and tax hikes.”
An FEC filing shows the Club for Growth is spending $421,170 on the ad buy. Lugar and Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock face off on May 8.
