Former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-NE), who has recently begun reconsidering whether to run for the state’s open Senate seat, took a key step on Tuesday for his potential run, the Omaha World-Herald reports: Registering to vote in the state once again.
Registering to vote is one crucial step in establishing residency in Nebraska, after living 12 years in New York City.
Kerrey registered to vote using the address of his sister’s home in Rockbrook neighborhood in west Omaha.
The deadline for Kerrey to file as a candidate is tomorrow.
