In an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, Mitt Romney addressed the rumors that he and Ron Paul have a kind of non-aggression pact. Chatter about this has proliferated in recent days as people have noticed that Ron Paul never directly criticized Mitt Romney in any debates, and has not yet launched any advertizing against him.
“No one’s gonna tell Ron Paul what to say,” Romney told the host. “He’s going to say whatever he likes.”
“But not against you, apparently,” Cavuto interjected.
“Well, we like each other,” Romney said, before going on to claim that they had nonetheless “battled each other aggressively in Maine” and would soon be doing the same in North Dakota.
