Donald Trump is apparently still pretty new at this whole “endorsing” thing. In an effort to help his favored candidate Mitt Romney, whose support he announced in Las Vegas earlier this month, Trump took to Twitter to hype Romney’s much anticipated address at conservative gathering CPAC on Friday.
“[Mitt Romney] will give a great speech at CPAC today,” Trump tweeted. “He understands the threat from China.”
The only problem: Romney’s delivered his speech hours earlier. Apparently Trump missed it.
Oddly enough, while Romney mentioned China twice in his speech, neither reference was related to Trump’s pet cause of currency manipulation and unfiar trade practices. Romney instead cited the need to avoid deficit spending financed by China and pledged to oppose their one-child family planning policy.
