Rep. Brad Miller (D-NC) will not seek reelection in November, he announced Thursday in a message to supporters: “Because your support has been so important to me, I wanted you to hear from me that I will not seek another term in Congress.” Miller was elected to Congress in 2002. Republicans, who oversaw the redistricting process in North Carolina, put him in the same district as Democratic Rep. David Price and he would have faced an uphill battle had he stayed in the race.
