At a Latino townhall in Manchester, New Hampshire, participants questioned Newt Gingrich on his food stamps vs. paycheck rhetoric. One African American man told Newt that his portrayal of the black community as dependent on welfare insulting. Newt pushed back, saying he wanted jobs for everyone, then called the NAACP “one of the most left-wing organizations in America.”

Another participant reminded Newt Gingrich that most people on food stamps also have jobs.
