During an appearance on The Laura Ingraham Show, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) was pushed to take a position on a controversial bill making it easier for the federal government to punish China for currency manipulation.
“I support actively doing something about China’s currency manipulation,” Bachmann said. While noting that she hasn’t read the bill, the GOP candidate said. “I support that concept. I’d have to read the bill, but I support that concept.”
The powerful Club for Growth has ben actively pushing candidates to oppose the legislation, warning that it would lead to a trade war and more layoffs for American workers.
To justify her position, Bachmann pointed out that, amongst other actions, “China has blinded United States satellites with their lasers.”
