Coming as a bit of a surprise, President Obama is only up by two points against former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney in a Public Policy Polling (D) survey of Connecticut, the quintessential blue state. Romney is the only GOPer to give Obama a challenge in the poll, as Texas Gov. Rick Perry is down 12 percent against the President.
“Connecticut probably won’t be a swing state at the end of the day,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “But the fact that it’s even close there at this point is symbolic of his broader issues.”
