Lincoln To Oppose House Reconciliation Bill In The Senate

Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR)

Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) has announced that she will vote against fixes to the House health care bill when it is taken up in the Senate this week.

According to The Hill, Lincoln said today:

The Reconciliation package devised by the House includes matter unrelated to health care and employs a legislative process that wasn’t subject to the same transparency and thorough debate that we used in the Senate. I cannot support this process.

The bill needs 51 votes to pass in the Senate.
