Jon Stewart on Thursday condemned the New York police officer who maced several protesters participating in the “Occupying Wall Street” demonstration, but not before having a bit of fun with the story.
“Who was this human crop-duster, raining habanero misery on the crowd?” Stewart asked.
Turns out it was none other than Anthony Bologna, an officer named in several rights lawsuits related to arrests made at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
“C’mon, Anthony Bolonga, you and I both know that guy’s name is Tony Balogna,” Stewart said. “Favorite pasta? Rigatoni. Favorite island? Coney. Favorite Italian prime minister? Berlusconi.”
Which gave Stewart an idea: a TV miniseries, titled “The Vigilona”
