Ever notice how Republicans talk in doomsday terms about a second term for President Obama? Yeah, Jon Stewart does too.
Iran will develop a nuclear weapon! European socialism! No future! No hope! These are the grim scenarios laid out by Republicans, which are basically the same scenarios floated before his first term.
“If Obama hasn’t been able to pull any of this shit off after three years years of his actual presidency, what do you think he’s waiting for?” Stewart said. His second term.
“The whole first term is just laying the trap,” he added. “It’s the long con? Everything Obama’s done in his first term is just a canard, so that he can do the opposite in his second term?
