Heidi Cruz, wife of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), can’t seem to catch a break with President Donald Trump.

In the meme heard ‘round the world, then-candidate Trump shared side-by-side photos of his wife, Melania, and Heidi Cruz to prove that his wife was more attractive in 2016.

All seemed to be forgiven when Trump considered Cruz to be World Bank president in recent weeks. But, according to a Wednesday Bloomberg report, Trump is passing on Cruz and will likely go with Treasury Undersecretary David Malpass.

“It was an honor for Heidi to be considered by the administration as a finalist for president of the World Bank,” a Cruz spokesperson told Bloomberg.

Cruz is an executive at Goldman Sachs.
