Vice President Joe Biden will stump for Democratic Congressional candidate Alex Sink in the special election for the late Rep. Bill Young’s (R-FL) House seat.
Biden will appear at a fundraiser for Sink on Feb. 12 in Coral Gables Florida, according to an invitation obtained by CNN.
The fact that Biden is going to campaign for Sink is the latest example of how both Democrats and Republicans are prioritizing the Florida special election as a contest that could be a preview of the 2014 midterms.
Sink is running against Republican David Jolly.
Jolly’s former seat, in Florida’s 13th Congressional district, narrowly went for President Barack Obama in 2012 and 2008.
