Less than 24 hours after delivering a speech on foreign policy, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would not rule out using nuclear weapons to combat the Islamic State on NBC’s “Today” show, Politico reported.
Trump started the conversation about nuclear arms during his call-in on the show with a more restrained approach, calling nuclear weapons “the single greatest problem the world has.”
“I don’t want to rule out anything. I will be the last to use nuclear weapons,” he said, according to Politico. “It’s a horror to use nuclear weapons. The power of weaponry today is the single greatest problem that our world has. It’s not global warming, like our President said. It’s the power of weapons, in particular nuclear.”
While Trump said he would be “the last” to use nuclear weapons against ISIL, he also said he would not rule it out.
“I will be the last,” he said. “But I will never, ever rule it out.”

Once again, The Today Show/NBC gleefully trots out Trump to give him a free soapbox.
I believe this is officially described as a definite maybe.
Chuck Todd’s influence at NBC is apparently far-reaching. No wonder they’ve sunk to the bottom…
I’m sure that reassures our allies around the world.
Has anyone on his team told him that Isil fighters aren’t going to line up in one location, wearing t-shirts to identify themselves? And if they did, would he even listen?
