Donald Trump on Thursday night accused a Breitbart reporter who had alleged his campaign manager forcefully grabbed her of lying about her story.
“Everybody said nothing happened,” Trump said in a press scrum with reporters after Thursday’s CNN debate, according to video taken by CNN’s Ryan Nobles. “Perhaps she made the story up, I think that’s what happened.”

Reporter Michelle Fields said that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski grabbed her by the arm and almost knocked her to the ground while she asked the GOP candidate a question after a press conference Tuesday night.
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks called Fields’ allegations “entirely false” in a statement Thursday, and Lewandowski labeled her an “attention seeker” in a series of tweets.
The GOP frontrunner was not asked about the incident with Fields during the CNN debate, although moderator Jake Tapper did question him about the arrest of a man who allegedly punched a black protester in the side of the head at a Wednesday night rally.
