Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign manager said Thursday that the Breitbart reporter who alleged that he forcibly grabbed her by the arm was an “attention seeker.”
Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski tweeted two reports alleging Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields was assaulted and suggested she was seeking attention from both incidents. One 2015 story alleged that a colleague of Fields’ once grabbed her breast, while a second story from 2011 quoted Fields saying police hit her with a baton during the Occupy Wall Street protests:

Lewandowski’s tweets appeared to be his first direct response to Field’s allegation that someone at a Trump press conference, who another reporter identified to her as Lewandowski, grabbed her arm and nearly yanked her to the ground.
The Trump campaign on Thursday denied any wrongdoing by Lewandowski.
