Rep. Trey Radel (R-FL) resigned from Congress after getting busted for cocaine possession in 2013. Now he runs a crisis consulting firm.

The firm, Trey Radel Media Group, offers messaging, training and management. On the website’s homepage is a picture of Radel and bullet points:

  • Highly personalized training to message & manage media
  • Intimate, exclusively tailored crisis management
  • Persuasive American-style English for non-native speakers
  • Preparation to present, testify or advocate before Congress

The “Crisis” page for the website reads “Crisis: In a perfect world, you have eliminated risk. You have prepared. You are ready. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect. We can help.”

It almost goes without saying that Radel got some first-hand experience in crisis management when he was charged for cocaine possession. He was charged with a misdemeanor possession of cocaine and went to a rehabilitation facility in Florida before eventually resigning from Congress.
