Tennessee state Rep. James VanHuss (R) introduced a resolution that would add a new line to the state constitution acknowledging God, The Tennessean reported.
House Joint Resolution 71 would add a line reading, “We recognize that our liberties do not come from governments, but from Almighty God, our Creator and Savior.”
VanHuss’ colleague, Rep. Jerry Sexton (R) also introduced a bill last week that would make the Holy Bible the state book.

H/t Raw Story
Let us follow a foreign law, enshrine it in our Constitution, and spit on the graves of the Founders of this Nation…but don’tcha dare call us unpatriotic–the GOP in a nutshell.
Isn’t that similar to the Sharia law they get all bonkers about?
Can’t reasonable people agree to disagree? I might suggest I could accept your proposal if you could PROVE IT. However, I would rather club you over the head with a little principle titled ‘separation of church and state’. My liberty to be free of YOU and your Gawd stems from the ballot and the National Defense System. I got no obligation to honor your religious precepts. You and your religious precepts can go to YOUR Hell. Is there really a need to assert where our liberties originate? If they truly came from God, then no army could take them away, and there would be no need to codify them in a Constitution. I would argue that is prima facie evidence that they explicitly come from the Constitution, and not Your Gawd. BTW, I haven’t got a clue as to what you mean by the term ‘God’. I bet you cannot even define the term.
Well VanHuss (good name for a prepper) only mentions G-d, not His son, who had strong views about the separation of Church and State.
Eerily, his Derpship looks to be featured in front of a Japanese WWII internment facility.
Maybe something like that is what’s in store for “non-believers”
