The Susan B. Anthony List, an anti-abortion group, on Monday blamed Republicans for including funding for Planned Parenthood in a must-pass spending bill to keep the federal government open.

“With pro-life Republican majorities in both houses, it is incredibly disappointing that any Republican spending bill would contain continued funding for Planned Parenthood,” the group’s president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement.

Dannenfelser exhorted congressional Republicans to “move quickly” and redirect funding from Planned Parenthood “using reconciliation.”

Congressional leaders on Sunday reached a compromise on a measure to fund the federal government through September, which would also ensure federal funding for Planned Parenthood until then. Congress is expected to vote on the bill early this week.
