Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Sunday that he has “no reason to believe” former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will endorse him.

The Huffington Post reported Sunday, citing two unnamed Republican officials, that Romney would endorse the Florida senator since former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush dropped out. The report stated that Romney’s respect for Bush made him hesitate from making his endorsement.

“Well, that report is false. I have no reason to believe that he’s anywhere near endorsing anyone,” Rubio said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We would love to have his endorsement, but there’s nothing forthcoming. I don’t know where those reports are coming from, but they’re false.”
