Republican strategist Rick Wilson in a cryptic tweet referenced a “campaign-ending stupid” pre-planned stunt to come during Wednesday night’s top-tier GOP presidential debate.

Wilson’s message, posted during CNBC’s undercard debate, immediately kicked off a torrent of speculation:
