Jeb Bush’s attempt to confront Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was foreshadowed by Florida-based Republican strategist Rick Wilson, who tweeted prior to Wednesday’s CNBC main debate “the dumb, pre-planned move a certain campaign is about to make in the big debate is campaign-ending stupid.”
Man oh man, the dumb, pre-planned move a certain campaign is about to make in the big debate is campaign-ending stupid.

Fairly early on in the debate former Florida governor called upon Rubio to quit his Senate seat because he was missing so many votes.
“I’m a constituent of the senator and I helped him and I expected that he would do constituent service which means he shows up to work,” Bush said.
However, Rubio was widely perceived to have won the upper hand in the exchange.
“The only reason you’re doing it now is because we’re running for the same position. Someone convinced you attacking me is going to help you,” he shot back.
Wilson continued to live-tweet the damage he believed Bush was doing to his campaign with the move:
Here it comes on Marco and the stupid vote attack.

Marco is batting this question around like a cat with a trapped mouse.

THIS is why you just don’t try to play that kind of jerky little media game with Marco.

Ooooooooof. Email from donor type. Six figure, not seven figure type. “I’m done. That was so stupid.”

Heh.
So this is what Wilson was gum-flapping over.
Rubio needs a water break and a nap when he wakes up in the morning – that’s NOT news, Jeb! campaign.
When you’re bested by the likes of Rubio, maybe it’s time to give up the ghost.
Jeb! is such a doofus.
